Basketball Goal Ruling PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 20 October 2008
Dear Residents:

It has been observed that several basketball goals have been erected throughout the neighborhood.   Although basketball goals are not prohibited in Trinity Creek, we must address certain issues relative to their location and appearance.  Permanently installed goals are preferred over the temporary goals.  Because temporary goals must be weighted down to work properly, owners often use unsightly methods (concrete blocks, sand filled ice chests, rocks, sand bags, etc.) to secure the temporary goal.  Therefore, the Trinity Creek Architectural Review Committee (TCARC) has developed a ruling regarding this issue in order to maintain a quality appearance throughout the neighborhood.  The ruling will be enforced throughout the addition in accordance with the authority of the Trinity Creek ARC as outlined in the Covenants of Trinity Creek.   The ruling states:

“Plans to install a permanent basketball goal on a Trinity Creek lot must be submitted to the ARC in order to determine proper location and installation method.  The basketball goal must be a minimum of five feet towards the home from the sidewalk.  Any installation of a basketball goal closer than five feet from the sidewalk must have approval from the Architectural Committee.  Temporary goals are allowed, but must be properly filled according to manufacturer directions.  Temporary goals may not be secured or weighted down by assorted heavy objects.  No temporary basketball goals may be stored in Trinity Creek common areas.”
